Small Arms Repairman

Job Location: Various Locations/LSI, Iraq

Job Description:

ARMY: Repairs all U.S. Military small arms, machine guns, mortars, howitzers, chain guns and direct fire systems. �� Performs all levels of maintenance from 10 to the 40 level General Support, IAW TM’s. �� Performs “A” services: an inspection that checks all components by the 10, 20, 30 and 40 levels to include all gauging, function checks and repairs or replacement of parts. �� Graduates of Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland and Lackland Air Force Base Texas have preference. �� Civilian applicant must provide proof of extensive training in weapons manufacturing. �� Assists the armorer with small arms repair operation. �� Maintains armorer’s toolbox. �� Must be able to use small gauges and precision measuring gauges. �� Must be able to stored weapons repair parts in special control areas. �� Provide direct support for weapons maintenance of small arms, ensuring weapons repaired to military standards. �� Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. �� Must be able to record all maintenance activities on the proper work packets. MARINES: Fiberglass repair, troubleshooting and the replacement of damaged parts. �� Some of the parts on these weapon systems are hand fit to that specific weapon. This type of work is very meticulous and is only done by a MOS 2112. �� Must have thorough knowledge of U.S. Navy/Marine Corps technical publications. �� Repairs all U.S. military small arms, machine guns, mortars, howitzers, chain guns and direct fire systems. �� Performs all levels of maintenance from 10 to the 40 level General Support. �� Performs “A” services: an inspection that checks all components by the 10, 20, 30 and 40 levels to include all gauging, function checks and repairs or replacement of parts. �� Graduates of Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland and Lackland Air Force Base, Texas have preference. �� Civilian applicant must provide proof of extensive training in weapons manufacturing. �� Assists the armorer with small arms repair operation. �� Maintains armorer’s toolbox.

Job Requirements:

Must be age 21 or older Have a minimum of THREE years of experience in the past FIVE years You must not have High Blood Pressure or Diabetes You must have a valid US Driver's License NO FELONIES in the past seven years You must have your Passport in order to deploy Must have a MOS of 45Bravo Army or MOS of 2112 or 2111 Marines
