Job Description:

Our Client is a multi- national food logistics and facilities provider. Within their Site Services Division they are currently seeking an HVAC Manager to ensure the cost effective and efficient functioning of our clients HVAC equipment at the various camps and distribution centres located throughout the region.

Reporting into the Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will manage all aspects of the equipment maintenance of HVACR function in line with our clients and contract objectives whilst maintaining a first class service to customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful general maintenance on all types of HVACR equipment and will achieve this by the successful management of a team of HVAC Technicians. You will liaise with the client on a daily basis in order to evaluate the best possible solution to issues at hand and you will liaise with suppliers and vendors in order to maximize services rendered. You will ensure that all HVAC technicians and personnel conduct themselves in a manner that will be beneficial to our client. You will carry out periodic Performance Assessments on all HVAC technicians to ensure that the standard of workmanship and productivity is maintained. You will conduct inter departmental meetings on a weekly basis, to ensure that all personnel know what is expected of them and to follow up on all tasks current, awaiting purchases, and completed. You will ensure that all billing is completed on a timely basis and that the customer receives and signs off. You will make unannounced visits to the various sites in order to ensure that HVAC Technicians are performing to the standards set out.

You will liaise effectively and foster sound relationships with the client and you will be observing, receiving and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. You will ensure that all regulations relating to the safety of equipment are adhered to.

You will recommend and discuss with the Maintenance Manager improvements to systems or procedures which you think may be beneficial to our clients operation. Finally you will look after all of our clients HVAC assets during the performance of your duty and report any anomalies to the Maintenance Manager.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced HVAC Maintenance Manager or Supervisor, ideally with some of your experience gained in a camp services environment. Experience of supervisory experience of third world tradespersons, and the ability to motivate and enforce western work practices and standards would be ideal. You should have excellent planning and organizing skills and have the ability to pay close attention to detail.

Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be IT / PC literate - Microsoft Office.

This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished HVAC professional looking for something different. Whilst our Clients operation is somewhat unique they are in it for the long term and accordingly they seek a minimum of 12 to 18 months commitment.

The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual profit share bonus payable which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free to an Ex-Patriate employee.

Accommodation, laundry, local transport, health insurance and meals are provided free. In addition employees have the use of a phone to call family and friends and also the internet for e-mails etc.

Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 63 days annual leave per year and the working rota is approximately 14 weeks on, 3.5 weeks off.

Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 3 paid return economy flights per year and Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
