Job Description:
Our Client is a multi- national food logistics and military camp facilities provider.
They are currently seeking an accomplished Maintenance Manager who has some electrical experience for a military camp based in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all camp and site engineering services at a military camp in Kabul for one of the countries participating in ISAF, the peace keeping force in Afghanistan.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced camp services manager or someone with site services experience working in an engineering or maintenance department involving a diverse range of plant with experience of supervising or managing a maintenance team.
Within your career you should have gained experience with electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and hydraulic maintenance and repair of all or in part.
Knowledge and experience of working on water treatment plants would be ideal.
You will need to be PC / IT literate in Ms Office/Word/Excel/Ms Project or similar and be systems orientated with some cost and budgetary experience.
A military background would be very useful as would experience of working in arduous or remote environments.
You should be fluent in written and spoken English and have a strong attention to detail.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions. Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Maintenance Manager looking for something different.
Whilst our Clients operation is somewhat unique they are in it for the long term. Accordingly they seek a career minded Maintenance Manager and are looking for a 12-18th months commitment.
The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual profit share bonus payable which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.
Accommodation, laundry, local transport, health insurance and meals are provided free. In addition employees have the use of a phone to call family and friends and the internet for e-mails etc.
Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 63 days annual leave per year and the working rota is approx 14 weeks on, 3.5 weeks off.
Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 3 paid return economy flights per year and Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
