Job Description:

Our client is a leading global engineering, construction and services company. They support the energy, petrochemicals, government services and civil infrastructure sectors on 6 continents, servicing their customers through six diverse business units – Government and Infrastructure, Services, Upstream, Technology, Downstream and Ventures. They offer challenging assignments on some of the worlds largest and most complex projects and are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to develop the NATO Logistics sector.


The following narrative shows the main tasks to be performed, but this role is capable of expansion so that the successful candidate will have exposure to many areas of our clients business, dependent upon business needs, candidate aptitude and career preference.


Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Director for the Government and Infrastructure Division, the successful candidate will take the lead in developing complex products and services targeted at NATO specifically and the Defence Sector in general.
You will learn and adapt skills and techniques from other industry sectors into the Defence Sector and will support and transfer skills and knowledge into other related sectors.
You will develop knowledge of the client and key supply chain organisations, develop relationships within the client and key supply chain organisations and develop marketing strategies and techniques to support business development within the sector.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills:


Of graduate calibre you will have a good working knowledge of contingency support and logistics delivery to the military and with an excellent understanding of the NATO / NAMSA client organisations.


You should have knowledge of military outsourcing including operational logistics support and service provision and of the regulatory environment and military procurement processes for both the UK MoD and NATO.


You should have experience in developing and bringing to financial closure complex products and services that meet the exacting demands of clients.


You should possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships easily, have a high degree of self motivation and professionalism, have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team to build networks and have good financial and commercial awareness.
