Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervise and oversee ALL aspects of PRACTICAL and TECHNICAL FIELD MANAGEMENT, Lead by example in planning, organizating, supervising, coordinating and controlling activities of craftsmen engaged in the High Voltage, Exterior and Interior Electrical Systems trade disciplines, installing and testing High Voltage, Exterior and Interior Electrical Systems, inspects completed work to determine compliance with specifications and plans. Communicates, motivates and manages the productive performance of all assigned personnel. DIRECTLY ACCOUNTABLE to complete assigned work installations at or below BUDGET HOURS, with BUDGET COSTS for Labor, Material, Equipment, Sub-Contractors, Rentals and General Conditions. Devotes 75% (or more) of time to management-related duties and 25% (or less) to actual work installation and installation related duties. Incumbent will report directly to the Program Manager or his designated representative.


ACTUAL WORK INSTALLATION & INSTALLATION RELATED DUTIES:


1. WORK IN FIELD leading a CREW by example as necessary to: a) Make Decisions; b) Motivate Workers; c) Organize to Overcome Obstacles and/or Constraints; d) Communicate and Implement Short Interval Plans and Conduct Daily Tool Box Meeting to Look Ahead for Upcoming Labor or Material Needs; e) Have Backup Alternate Plans In-Place (Work Areas and Materials) In Case of Weather, Scheduling, Deliveries or Other Circumstances Present Problem(s); and, f) Perform Hands-On Installations of Products as may be required.
2. ESTABLISH daily performance objectives, and ensure the same is being implemented through Leading by example. Short Interval Planning and Daily meetings with crew workforce.
3. Perform ADDITIONAL actual work installation or installation-related assignments in accordance with Program Manager’s direction or his designated representative.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


1. High School Diploma or GED preferred. (Or Equivalent)
2. Must be able to obtain a valid Driver’s License (Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Specific)
3. Minimum Six (6) years in a Journeyman level position, and four (4) years experience in Foreman level position, working in all phase of High Voltage, Exterior and Interior Electrical Systems Installation. Trade School; or Apprenticeship Training may be substituted for Journeyman experience.
4. Must be familiar with building and electrical codes, interpreting plans and specifications.
5. Must be experienced in construction monitoring tasks including building and architectural drawings, project schedules and the resolution of change issues during construction.
6. Must be detailed-oriented and practical thinker able to solve job-site problems and interface effectively with all building disciplines (Civil, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical.)


POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:


1. Four (4) years experience in a Superintendent position required. Ideal candidate will have 5 – 10 years overall experience.
2. Must successfully demonstrate ability to effectively and productively supervise Multi-Trade crews of (50) or more workers.
