 900 - Finance Manager
Job Location: Basrah, Iraq
Job Description:
Our client is a privately owned air charter and logistics company. They operate a fleet of aircraft (both passenger and cargo) and helicopters operating throughout The Middle East, Europe, Africa and near Asia.
They are currently seeking a Finance Manager to be based at Basrah International Airport, Southern Iraq.
This a key position within our clients business. The successful candidate will be tasked with the day to day responsibility of the finance function relating to our clients air operations at Basrah International Airport.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate must be a qualified Accountant and be an accomplished Financial or Management Accountant with some experience in a similar position ideally in an international aviation or logistics company.
In addition you should have knowledge of business process re-engineering, excellent computer knowledge (ERP Financials, Deltek, MS Office, OLAP Database and reporting tools) and a high level of analytical skills.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language, have a strong attention to detail and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
Finally you should be PC / IT literate and possess a Drivers Licence.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Financial or Management Accountant looking for something different. Whilst our Clients operation is somewhat unique they are in it for the long term and are looking for a minimum of 18 to 24 months commitment.
The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there are uplifts for hazardous conditions and post differentials and there is an annual bonus payable which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. Accommodation, laundry and medical insurance are provided free. In addition employees receive free meals or a meals allowance, have the use of a phone to call family and friends and also the internet for e-mails etc.
The work rota is 108 days on, 21 days off. Employees will receive a paid return economy flight back to their home base for each leave period. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
