Job Description:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to requisitioning, receiving, storing, shipping, identifying, inventorying, warehousing, disposition and issuing of supplies, materials, and equipment required for the operation and maintenance of technical and facility support activities. Additional responsibilities include developing manifests for air and sealift cargo, aircraft load planning, unloading and loading of aircraft, aircraft pallet buildup and breakdown and unloading and stuffing sea vans. Monitors and responds to concerns from various parties regarding supply, vehicle maintenance, and transportation service needs.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of three years Air Force Transportation Management experience or equivalent is required. Knowledge of aircraft and sealift manifesting programs such as GATES, IBS and CMOS are highly desirable. Familiarity with AFMAN 23-110, FAR 45.5 and requirements, including the shipment of hazardous materials is a mandatory requirement. Experience with tool crib procedures, PMEL SBSS, property Control, forward Supply Points and Bench stock procedures are also preferred. Current IATA and IMDG & AFMAN 24-204(I) certification in the shipment of dangerous goods (Hazardous Materials) is preferred (successful recertification or initial certification will be required). Working knowledge of a computerized inventory control and maintenance management software program such as MAXIMO is desirable. Ability to operate equipment associated with materials handling including forklifts, 25K-Loader (aircraft loader), hand trucks, pallet dolly, 10 ton truck, and other associated vehicles is required. Must have the ability to handle multiple logistics projects simultaneously, demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communications, and be a self-starter. Must be able to use a computer, learn new software, lift cargo of at least 40 pounds, and stand or sit for long periods of time during a workday.
Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a multi-cultural team-oriented environment. Normal work week is 40 hours with slight variances in schedules and may require minimal overtime. Valid U.S. driver's license and U.S. Passport required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NAC) which requires U.S. Citizenship. This position is assigned to Antigua Air Station and no family accommodations are available
