Job Description:
Operates as Contracts Manager providing overall leadership and strategic direction for the contracts management function including organizing and managing contract documentation for Djibouti Contract. Provides direction to the Acquisition team on routine contract and commercial issues.
Major areas of emphasis include coordination and structuring the contracting documents to reflect the commercial solution for small to intermediate level pursuits within the product line/region.
Overall responsibilities include ensuring contract compliance and efficient contract administration; developing initiatives to increase profitability and cash; establishing and maintaining excellent customer relations, both internally and externally, and developing business strategies for new business opportunities. Advises management of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information and must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independent of functional management while managing the successful completion of program requirements. Is responsible for managing, participating in and/or conducting contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Participates in proposal preparation but reviewing contract terms and risks and assisting with the PMO in developing mitigation strategies for proposal submittals.
Oversees the evaluation of contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations. Ensures communications are maintained for timely contract execution by the parties. Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. If necessary, coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. May direct the planning and participation in training of contract practices and negotiations to company personnel.

Job Requirements:
Because of the nature of the business and the information associated with this position, interested candidates must be United States citizens.
Must have at least 10 years of contracts experience, with at least five (5) of those years consisting of specialized experience in the direct administration of major support services contract(s) for a professional engineering, program management and/or administrative support capacity to the Government.
Considered an Expert in FAR (Fed Acquisition Regulation);as well as standard commercial acquisition practices. Ability to negotiate specialized contracts.
A BS or BA in Business, Economics, Public Administration, or equivalent is required for this position. Certification as a CCCM, CCM, or CFCM is preferred.
Excellent drafting skills; effective writing, communication skills; ability to interface with multiple levels of operations personnel and administrative staff; well organized; understanding of variations of contract services provided by the company.
Familiar with advanced concepts, practices, and procedures within contracts administration.
