Our client is the Support Services Division of this expanding international facilities Group which manages the design, construction and operation of sites for clients who need to operate in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
They are currently seeking a Bakery Operations Administrator to work in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Reporting to the Bakery Administrator the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring all QA and HACCAP SOPs within the bakery. Also to be aware of all administration needs for the bakery and assist the Bakery Administrator where necessary. You will also be required to cover for the Bakery Administrator when he/she is away from the business unit.
You will be responsible for looking from goods inwards through the total production process and dispatch to the end customer from a QA perspective and also monitoring the goods received process and maintaining records and procedures.
You will ensure the FIFO system is applied to all relevant goods and ingredients and follow the HACCP plan and ensure it is up to date and relevant.
You will ensure you gain knowledge of BRC standards and assist in the bakery achieving BRC accreditation.
You must have full knowledge (with appropriate training) of all administration procedures and functions and will assist the Bakery Administrator where possible, and to deputise for them when they are absent.
You will liaise with senior management and Central QA about any and all issues that might arise in general duties if necessary.
You will analyse key data including the cost per SKU per customer, measuring margin per SKU per customer, measuring thru put rates per SKU
Finally on occasions you maybe asked to assist in the production area stores/warehousing and carry out other work related tasks handed down by the management team.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be energetic and accomplished English speaking Administrator who can ideally speak fluently at least one other language which may be your native language.
Your work experience should include having worked in a bakery or a food manufacturing environment. A proven track record in driving GMP and HACCP within a food manufacturing environment, or similar independently audited quality control program such as ISO standards is highly desirable.
You should have an understanding of the baking process. While not essential it would be an advantage to have some knowledge about the science of baking resulting from a trade qualification.
You should be PC / IT literate and have excellent computer skills that include full knowledge of Microsoft Office software particularly excel and buroware systems.
You will have an analytical approach to all work, with care for detail a must. You should be able to work independently as well as within a close knit team and have a proven track record of being able to meet dead lines, consistently.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and one other language, and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner, work to tight deadlines and pay attention to the detail.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Administrator looking for something different.
The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.
In addition there is an annual bonus payable after 12 month’s service which is also paid in Euros and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. Shared accommodation, laundry, local transport, permanent disability and death benefit, bereavement leave and meals are all provided free. In addition you will have the use of a phone to call family and friends and also use of the internet for e-mails etc.
Ex-Patriate employees will receive 40 days annual leave per year. In addition Ex-Patriate employees will receive 1 paid return economy flight in their first year of employment and thereafter 2 return economy flights per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
