Supported by a world-wide network of resources including state – of – the – art warehousing facilities, bulk fuel installations and real time freight tracking capabilities, our client provides workable resolutions to complex client requirements in the areas of food logistics, catering, retail, site services and fuel management.
Our client is the Fuels Trading Division which provides vital services in fuel management and supply to both the military and private companies operating in post conflict and remote areas.
They are currently seeking an Asset Clerk to be based in Dubai.
Reporting into the Asset Manager, the successful candidate will assist the Asset Manager with ensuring our clients fuels assets information on AXAPTA (or equivalent system) is kept updated in a timely manner. In addition you will provide information on assets of fuels technical equipment/stores to Fuels Assets, Finance and Purchasing staff (when requested and/or required).
Specifically you will assist in maintaining a fuel asset management system to facilitate accurate and timely records of all asset items/stores location, movement, disposal and
scrapping as per our clients SOPs.
You will liaise on a regular basis with the Fuels Asset Manager, North & South Asset
Trackers, Fuels Purchasing Staff and Fixed Asset Clerk and with any other Manager (when required) in providing accurate asset information.
You will ensure all documentation is completed and processed accurately and timely.
Finally you will raise New, Transfer, Disposal or Scrapping Forms as necessary for processing.
Job Requirements:
You should be an energetic and accomplished English speaking Clerk / Administrator who can ideally speak fluently at least one other language which may be your native language.
Ideally you will have some experience as an Asset Clerk and some understanding of inventory management and procurement.
You should possess good planning and organisation skills, good filing skills and be PC / IT literate i.e. Microsoft Office, e mail and the Internet. You should have an eye for detail.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment. Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Asset Clerk looking for something different. Whilst our Clients operation is somewhat different they are in it for the long term and are looking for a minimum of 12 – 18 months commitment.
The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is a bonus earning opportunity which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.
In addition you will receive 25 days holiday plus public holidays, insurances and 1 paid return family economy flight per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
