Job Description:
Founded in 1957, our client has over 50 years of experience developing and operating customized supply chain and associated service solutions in demanding environments.
Supported by a world-wide network of resources including state – of – the – art warehousing facilities, bulk fuel installations and real time freight tracking capabilities, our client provides workable resolutions to complex client requirements in the areas of food logistics, catering, retail, aviation, transport and warehousing, camp services and fuel management.
Within the Logistics Division, they ensure essential items such as food and bottled water is delivered with minimal disruption, under the most challenging conditions.
They operate multi-temperature distribution centres in Afghanistan on behalf of countries who are participating in ISAF, the multi-national peacekeeping force in Afghanistan. They are currently seeking a Customer Service Field Manager.
Reporting into the Customer Service Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the best quality of Customer Service in a progressively fast-paced organization where excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism is priority.
Specifically you will accurately and effectively report and document any discrepancies upon shipment of deliveries ensuring all customer requests for credit for Class 1 Subsistence are investigated and authorized by the Depot General Manager and the Customer Service Manager
You will be responsible for the timely processing and retrieval of invoices coming from the customer and will resolve customer issues in a professional manner, ensuring that a high level of customer service is achieved.
You will develop and establish strong working relationship with the customer to facilitate a better understanding of the customers needs.
You will collaborate with the customer to identify potential candidate items for long-term strategic support initiatives.
You will serve as a liaison for customer and company to ensure that demand data, deliveries and orders are accurate and executed with the utmost satisfaction and will ensure that extensive communication channels exist and are upheld between customers and our client.
Finally you will closely monitor operator errors and take appropriate remedial action and will ensure all administration documentation is completed and processed accurately and effectively.
Job Requirements:
To meet this unique challenge you will ideally be a sales and / or customer services professional and ideally knowledgeable of international food products and computerized ordering and inventory systems. A military background would be useful.
You should possess strong numerical, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize high pressured workloads while maintaining both high levels of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
You should have proven leadership, management experience ideally in a food distribution business and possess excellent people skills, commercial awareness, financial astuteness and customer service skills.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished customer services professional looking for something different.
The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual bonus payable after 12 month’s service which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. Accommodation, laundry, local transport, medical / health insurance, permanent disability and death benefit, bereavement leave and meals are all provided free. In addition you will have the use of a phone to call family and friends and also use of the internet for e-mails etc.
Ex-Patriate employees will receive 63 days annual leave per year and the working rota is approximately 14 weeks on, 3.5 weeks off.
In addition Ex-Patriate employees will receive 3 paid return economy flights per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
