Job Description:

Our client is a global professional services firm that provides the most accomplished operational support in the world. their disciplines include training and advising, and world-wide mission support for language and culture, emerging markets, stability and reconstruction, specialized mission, and expeditionary operations.

They are currently seeking Pashto Linguists to work alongside the US Army in Afghanistan.

The successful candidate will provide operational contract linguist support to U.S. Army operations in Afghanistan.

You will provide general linguistic support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences.

You will interpret and translate written and spoken communications.


You will transcribe and analyze communications and will perform document exploitation.

You will scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information and will translate foreign language documents.

You will identify and extract information components meeting military information requirements and finally you will provide input to various reports.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills:

To be considered for this role you must be a US citizen or a Green Card Holder. Your career background is irrelevant but military experience would be extremely useful.

Ideally you should have existing security clearance but if not you must be willing to obtain the required security clearance.

You must be proficient in Pashto in all aspects i.e. reading, writing, listening and speaking.

You must also have excellent communication skills in English.

The salary package for a US National is 210,000 US Dollars per annum. For a Green Card Holder the salary package is 184,500 US Dollars per annum.
