Our client is a privately owned air charter and logistics company. They operate throughout the Middle East and Africa with the primary focus of their operations
in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their experience in the region is unmatched and covers the whole spectrum of air operations, logistics and security.

They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to be based at their Head Office in Dubai, UAE.

This is a superb opportunity for an accomplished aviation and logistics business development professional to lead business development activity in our clients business. This will include the full relationship of key existing, new and prospective clients.

This challenging and exciting role offers overall accountability for the leadership, design and implementation execution of a business development strategy relating to aviation and logistics opportunities in Iraq, Afghanistan and African markets.

The role incorporates full responsibility for new client acquisition, marketing and sales development primarily in the Middle East and Africa region and the wider international aviation industry.

The successful candidate will personally drive new client acquisition, advance existing client relationships to enhance revenue generation and leverage your own network of contacts to establish and capitalise on new growth opportunities.

You will lead and direct all team activity relating to RFP responses and preparation of client proposals and marketing material.

You will lead all interaction with prospective clients to deliver presentations of new business initiatives.



Job Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills:

You will need to be an accomplished aviation and logistics professional with substantive experience of sales, business development and marketing in the international aviation and / or logistics sector.

You will have the ability to recognize customer requirements and needs prior to the customers realization of such needs and will have a working knowledge of military and civilian aircraft, fixed wing and rotary, passenger and cargo.

You should possess the necessary gravitas to professionally interface with civilian and military agencies to further develop brand awareness and business opportunities.

You will be able to evidence significant success in developing new business opportunities and creating business development proposals relating to high value, complex opportunities in the aviation and logistics industry including US government compliance.


You should be loyal to the organization during a period of growth and change – this is intended to be a very long-term relationship.

You should have the ability to integrate oneself seamlessly into our clients existing company management structure and rapidly become an effective member of our clients senior team.

You should possess excellent communication skills in English and have a strong attention to detail and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.

Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate.

This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished business development professional looking for something different.

The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual bonus which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.

In addition the job holder will receive either free housing or a monthly housing allowance, company car, medical insurance, a laptop and mobile phone. The holiday entitlement is 30 days.

Ex-Patriate employees will also receive 1 paid return economy flight per year and Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
