Job Description:
The Community Partnerships Program Associate will be responsible for engaging high school and college students, and other volunteers in supporting The Health Trust’s initiatives. The Program Associate’s primary responsibility will be to support the recruitment and coordination of the Youth Advisory Board and YEAH (Youth Engaged in Advancing Health) program, a program designed to engage high school students in community service and advocacy projects that address the obesity epidemic among Santa Clara County’s high school age youth. This position will also support the screening, placement, and coordination of special event and programmatic volunteers as needed.
Job Requirements:
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and to prioritize, organize, problem solve and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, change priorities and adjust schedule as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and community partners.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, i.e., WORD.
• Local travel required.
• Some evenings and weekends required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BA/BS Preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in program assistance preferred.
• Experience working with high school youth preferred.
• California driver’s license and automobile, insurance as required by the State of California.
• Employment background screening required.
