It offers tailor-made service solutions for those working in extreme conditions in on- and off-shore locations and its activities also cover Corporate Services, Healthcare, Education and Defence sectors.
They are seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to be fully responsible for the technical facilities operation and maintenance for 4 camps based in Oman.
Reporting into the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for
providing technical support and supervision to all activities of different disciplines, the administration of corrective and preventive maintenance databases, reports and performance, environment compliances and reporting review all new and existing waste management procedures and ensure correct application of same and the preparation and submitting of monthly reports of operational, corrective and preventive maintenance, health, safety and environmental performances.
Specifically you will monitor and analyse utilities consumption, develop and execute conservation plans.
You will manage all technical service staffing and provide direction and follow up for lead-persons in facilities, workshops, building grounds and operational maintenance.
You will develop and provide training to maintain current competence within technical services and will provide appropriate direction and resources to improve performances through effective corrective and preventive maintenance management and troubleshooting and emergency response.
You will manage all maintenance, waste management, custodial and special projects / contracts, including scope of work amendments and client meetings participation.
You will participate in budgetary, estimation and costing of new engineering projects and tenders.
You will liaise with vendors, design consultants and suppliers of specialized equipments for standards and specifications.
Overall you will perform specific activities but not limited to: all landscaping and gardening maintenance, structural and building amenities maintenance and improvements. All lighting, electrical distribution, fire & smoke detector systems, kitchen, laundry and bakery equipments, air conditioning systems (chilled water centrifugal chillers, package AC systems, split AC systems and window AC systems), air handling and fan coil units, walk in freezer units, domestic and industrial refrigeration units, water coolers, ice cube machines, solar and conventional water heaters, exhaust and extractor fans, street and path way lighting.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Facilities Manager and / or Maintenance / Site Services Manager with substantial experience in facilities maintenance and electro / mechanical engineering experience.
You should have previous experience in 5 star class / hotel residential camps above 5000 customers with all modern facilities and have practical experience with plant systems including air conditioning, electrical power distribution, switch gear, industrial kitchen equipments and PLC based controls.
Knowledge of civil and construction field and understanding of environmental laws is an added qualification.
Your practical experience should be supported by a University Degree in Electro Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
You should be flexible with excellent leadership, communication and managerial skills and who is prepared to adapt to very challenging environment. You must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, monitor progress and manage efforts/resources to meet competing deadlines, ability to work under pressure, willingness to contribute to the team effort and ability to be decisive but fair to employees.
Experience of working in a multi – site maintenance role in contracted camp services, in a military or labour camp environment or for a leading international facilities management provider would be ideal, as would experience of working in post conflict areas, remote sites or in other arduous environments.
You will possess excellent knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation, strong and confident leadership skills and strong negotiation skills.
You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally Arabic and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be IT / PC literate.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Facilities / Site Services Manager looking for something different.
The basic salary whilst shown in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. Accommodation, laundry, medical / health insurance, life insurance, meals are all provided free. In addition you will have a fully expensed company car, laptop and mobile phone.
Ex-Patriate employees will receive R and R leave (tbd) with free paid return economy flights. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
