Founded in 1957, our client has over 50 years of experience developing and operating customized supply chain and associated service solutions in demanding environments.
Supported by a world-wide network of resources including state – of – the – art warehousing facilities, bulk fuel installations and real time freight tracking capabilities, our client provides workable resolutions to complex client requirements in the areas of food logistics, catering, retail, aviation, transport and warehousing, camp services and fuel management.
Our Client is the Aviation Division of this rapidly expanding group and provides vital services in supply air logistics to remote sites in post conflict locations and remote areas. They ensure essential items such as fresh food and other time critical cargo is delivered with minimal disruption, under the most challenging conditions.
They are currently seeking an Aviation Compliance Manager – AOC to be based in Dubai, UAE.
Reporting into the QMS and Airworthiness Manager the successful candidate will implement, facilitate and monitor the Quality/Airworthiness Management Systems, including auditing, supplier compliance, continuing airworthiness and performance monitoring throughout our clients Aviation Division, to ensure ongoing compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Specifically you will implement and manage the Quality and Airworthiness Management Systems to comply with customer and regulatory requirements and you will manage compliance with Quality/Airworthiness regulations and standards throughout the Aviation Division.
You will co-ordinate the establishment of systems to meet the requirements and attain an Air Operators Certification in an FAA / EASA equivalent regulatory framework and manage and co-ordinate continuing airworthiness requirements to maintain the Air Operator Certification.
You will provide interpretation, advice and guidance within the Aviation Division for Quality/Airworthiness compliance requirements.
You will conduct audits of the Quality/Airworthiness management system and will conduct Quality/Airworthiness Assurance activities.
You will manage and respond to external and internal audit findings, within the required timescales.
You will manage continuing airworthiness requirements.
You will create and maintain professional links to regulatory agencies, other business unit quality staff and other bodies as required/appropriate.
Finally you will facilitate the development of and review procedures and policies.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished in the application and management of Air Operator Certification requirements and certification in a FAA / EASA equivalent CAA framework.
You will be experienced in developing, implementing and managing operational regulatory requirements and policies and experienced in liaising with the relevant CAA and co-ordinating the relevant CAA oversight activities.
You will hold a recognized degree in engineering, sciences or business management related to the aviation industry or suitable equivalent aviation knowledge and experience in Quality/Airworthiness.
You will have extensive experience in QA / QC ideally in the aviation industry and will be experienced in the implementation and management of an aerospace quality and airworthiness management system. Experience of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 regulations is highly desirable.
Ideally you will be a Lead Auditor with experience auditing safety, quality and airworthiness regulatory requirements.
You should have experience with airworthiness ICAO, FAA / EASA and CAA regulations and knowledge of customer requirements e.g. UN, US DOD and the Contracted Airlift Review Board process.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally able to speak one other language, able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate particularly with spreadsheets.

The basic salary is paid in AED (Dirhams) and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual bonus payable after 12 month’s service which is also paid in AED (Dirhams) and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. You will receive 25 days holiday plus public holidays and medical / health insurance is provided.
In addition Ex-Patriate employees will receive 1 paid return economy flight per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
