Supported by a world-wide network of resources including state ¡V of ¡V the ¡V art warehousing facilities, bulk fuel installations and real time freight tracking capabilities, our client provides workable resolutions to complex client requirements in the areas of food logistics, catering, retail, aviation, transport and warehousing, camp services and fuel management.
Our Client is the Aviation Division of this rapidly expanding group and provides vital services in supply air logistics to remote sites in post conflict locations and remote areas. They ensure essential items such as fresh food and other time critical cargo is delivered with minimal disruption, under the most challenging conditions.
They are currently seeking an Aviation Analysis and Planning Manager to be based in Dubai, UAE.
Reporting into the Aviation Director of Commercial Development, the successful candidate will provide senior level assistance to the Director of Commercial Development by taking the lead on aviation analysis and planning, and the execution of senior management strategic initiatives for the Commercial Development department.
Specifically you will assess initiatives and provide direction to senior managers, on specified and implied tasks that enable the successful performance and completion of business projects.
You will manage change initiatives to enable horizontal and vertical business development and growth via strategic planning and communication.
You will capture, analyze and integrate market intelligence into strategic planning for the Aviation Business Unit.
You will use gathered market intelligence to provide recommendations to senior managers on maximizing returns on current and future business initiatives.
You will maximize efficiencies of team projects (subject matter expert groups) within the Commercial Development department through the provision of transparency to teams regarding the integration of activities and required outcomes.
You will ensure that Managers responsible for attaining aviation compliant credentials (ISO, AOC, CARB) for our client are kept fully informed regarding actions and initiatives being carried out by the Commercial Development Team.
You will implement PEST (Political, Economic, Social, Technological) situational analyses and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analyses to maximize the potential of business opportunities whilst minimizing threats or challenges.
You will manage and nurture relationships with key international aviation business partners such as fellow contractors, suppliers, and compliance accrediting bodies.
You will provide subject matter expertise and analysis to bridge empirical / normative gaps to attain the desired business outcomes.
You willƒnassist in the management of credential-producing major projects which enable commercial capacity and viability (ISO, CARB, AOC).
You will manage project deliverables via planning and the monitoring of milestone achievements.
You will assist in the development of strategic commercial objectives and will conduct market and segment analyses.
You will attract and capture market opportunities through research and the provision of findings and recommendations to the Aviation Business Development Team.
You will advise the Director in identifying strategic teaming opportunities to maximize market penetration and bid development.
You will manage and aggressively pursue proposal opportunities.
You will manage proposal evaluation team activities during bid preparation, will provide guidance for bid graphics and design packages and will assure Statement of Work compliance in bid technical discussion.
Finally you will assess commercial aspects of potential suppliers.
Job Requirements:
You will be an accomplished air operations / aviation professional with previous military aviation training and ideally a rotary specialist.
You will have combat aviation experience and ideally senior military echelon /
formation staff experience.
You will possess ƒninternational business acumen and have a proven ability to successfully build and maintain relationships in multicultural environments.
You will possess the ability to interface with senior US military and NATO Officers and provide unique solutions to contractual issues or concerns.
You will have proven experience in monitoring separate aviation operations while
ensuring safety and financial standards are met.
You will have the ability to manage and integrate horizontally with other business units and able to delegate, mentor and guide subordinates to successful outcomes.
You will possess the aptitude to quickly understand our clients business and operational activities and capabilities.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally some Russian language capabilities and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate with MS Office, Visio and Microsoft Project.

The basic salary is paid in AED (Dirhams) and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual bonus payable after 12 month¡¦s service which is also paid in AED (Dirhams) and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.
You will receive 25 days holiday plus public holidays and medical / health insurance is provided.
In addition Ex-Patriate employees will receive 1 paid return economy flight per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client
