International Medical Corps is seeking Senior Advisor for Health Information Systems (HIS) candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Health Systems Strengthening Project that aims to improve institutional capacity, management systems and processes to enable the provision of higher quality health care services. The position will be based in Juba, South Sudan.

Responsibilities:
• Leads and contributes to strengthening of the health information system (HIS) and its performance at the state and county levels in the states of Western (WES) and Central Equatoria (CES).
• Strengthen and harmonize routine HIS and capacity through building capacity in quality collection, analysis, dissemination, and use of health information for program planning and management at the County Health Departments (CHD) and State Ministry of Health (SMOH).
• Coordinate and collaborate with other USAID/South Sudan-funded programs to facilitate improved CHD supervision of facility-level management and decision making.
• Support use of HIS data for tracking and forecasting pharmaceutical and medical commodities.
• Ensure the timely and quality completion of all relevant program deliverables and reporting.
• Mentor and support development of supervisees.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in public health, public administration, health administration, demography, statistics, epidemiology, or advanced degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum of 9 years of demonstrated technical expertise, with substantial experience in the Africa region highly preferred, in the facilitation of health information system strengthening, including central level coordination and systems integration, and sub-national strengthening for quality collection, analysis, dissemination, and use of health information.
• Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with USAID, government counterparts at all levels, local organizations, and other program partners.
• Proven success strengthening human resources information systems (HRIS) preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required.
• South Sudanese nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
