The M&E Specialist’s duties include:
• Manages all M&E activities and reporting for the project.
• Develops, implements, and monitors the performance monitoring plans and systems for gathering, reporting, and analyzing performance data for impact and sustainability of project implementation.
• Collects and reports on indicators required by USAID. Measures progress toward achieving project goals.
• Supports the documentation of best practices and facilitate the use of such data to drive program design and decision making. Produces information to share lessons learned and for advocacy purposes.
• Provides technical assistance to build or strengthening national capacity for data management and M&E.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in public health, statistics, or related field and minimum of 4-6 years of experience designing and implementing M&E systems. Additional experience building capacity of counterparts preferred.
• Exceptional technical skills in data management, M&E, disease surveillance, mapping, and/or assessment.
• Additional skills/experience in one or more of the following technical areas: health services delivery; family planning/reproductive health; child health/nutrition.
• Strong understanding of USAID rules and regulations for M&E.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art research design issues and quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques highly desired.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with USAID, government counterparts at all levels, local organizations, and other program partners.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required.
• South Sudanese nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
