International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs.

PROGRAM SUMMARY
This position will support emergency response efforts for Syrian refugees in Lebanon, lending technical assistance to the Health Officer in the North governorate and to support staff in Bekaa and Chtoura. S/he will report to the Medical Coordinator, contributing to the development of SOPs for technical medical practices and procedures (e.g. referral policies, standards of care for war wounded) while supporting IMC Lebanon's reporting, monitoring and evaluation, program/proposal development, and coordination activities. Coordination will involve liaising with all relevant international agencies (WHO, UNHCR, etc.) and partner organizations (ICRC, HRC, MSF etc.) working to assist Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and leading and/or attending Working Group meetings upon request from the Medical Coordinator. Additionally, the position will contribute to emergency assessments, contingency planning, and any evaluation of health facility capacities while ensuring proper monitoring of all IMC-supported facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate should be a certified Medical Doctor (MD) with experience leading emergency response programs for vulnerable, conflict-affected populations. Clinical experience and managerial qualities are of equal importance, especially with regard to information and data management, monitoring, reporting, etc.
LANGUAGE
Fluency in Arabic desirable.
