POSITION SUMMARY

Working under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, the Sr. Payroll Administrator will be responsible for a range of payroll functions for international and domestic Payrolls, processing multi-state payrolls in a complex regulatory environment. The Sr. Payroll Administrator will engage with all levels of the organization, including staff, managers, vendors and partner organizations. The position requires the individual to work closely with the Payroll Manager in reviewing and improving processes and procedures as required.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

*Compiles, calculates and processes international and domestic payroll in line with applicable federal, state and local laws as well as IMC’s policies and procedures;
*Maintains and updates payroll records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, paid-time off, status, and pay; calculating accrued vacation and allowances;
*Determines payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income and social security tax information;
*Responsible for accurate payroll deductions, direct deposits, 403b payments and wage garnishments;
*Prepares pay by verifying time records; calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers;
*Communicate and follow up with employees and HR departments regarding discrepancies;
*Reconcile and balance payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies;
*Assist the finance and accounting departments with audits and other projects when needed;
*Fulfills wage garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings;
*Responsible for tax payments by collecting and verifying data; preparing federal, state, and local tax reports, and W-2 statements;
*Publish payroll and timekeeping related reports utilizing report writer;
*Answer incoming calls and e-mails from employees, research and resolve issues in the areas of payroll, pay stubs and W2 forms, timekeeping and HR master data. Update employee records in payroll system as appropriate;
*Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS
•Knowledge of international and multi-state domestic payroll processing;
•5+ years of full cycle in house payroll processing experience;
•Experience with Deltek People/Payroll and Time & Expense modules;
•Familiarity with timekeeping practices in a multi-site environment;
•Prioritization, Organization, and Execution – ability to multi-task in a dynamic, high energy environment and work on tight and recurring deadlines;
•Tax, Compensation and Wage Structure, Worker Compensation, Employment Law, Analyzing Information, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Organized, and Excellent Verbal and Written Communication.
