Program Summary:
Under the Mental health and Psychosocial Support for the Syrian IDPs living next to the Syria-Turkey border and in order to empower local Syrian youth group to conduct a youth empowerment program with a group of teens, the consultant will undertake the following tasks:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Design and adapt the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) curriculum developed by IMC, based on the needs of the Syrian young refugees’ age from 13 to 18 years old.
• Develop the training of facilitators work plan that includes coaching of the delivery of sessions by the trainees and reporting.
• The training content shall cover at least 12 topics related to life skills in addition to the design preparation and implementation of a community service project.
• Develop/Adapt Monitoring and evaluation materials linked to training programs
• Carrying out 4 days training that covers required topics and objectives for 30 volunteers from both Bab Salameh (15) and Atmeh camp (15)
• Support and coach the preparation and implementation of 2 community service projects by the trainees.
• Support in the selection of 10 youth from each camp who have been trained to become the facilitators responsible of conducting the YEP program with other group of young persons.
• Co-facilitate 1 session with each selected IMC facilitator based on pre/post tests and assessed training skills.
• Conduct technical monitoring visits to assure the quality of activities provided for the children and youth in both Bab-Salameh and Atmeh Camp.
• Prepare Training field report including analysis of training evaluation (pre/post KAP surveys) including recommendations for at least 16 facilitators in terms of additional trainings, support in addition to suggesting a monitoring system for IMC field staff to follow and any useful observations.

Qualifications:
-Degree in Social, Psychology, Pedagogy or any other related background
-Previous experience in conducting trainings for non-specialized youth group and in Training of Trainers on life skills, Psychosocial activities
-Previous experience in emergency with refugees
-Fluent in English and Arabic
-Previous NGO experience is a plus
-Personal interest in educational and mental health issues
-Willing to adhere to outreach schedule
-Good communication and teamwork skills
-Willing to train inside the Syrian IDPs camps
