Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for the Syrian IDPs living next to the Syria-Turkey border and reporting to the emergency Mental Health officer the consultant will undertake the following tasks:
• Design or adapt the training material for Child Friendly spaces (CFS) activities (in line with globally accepted standards including IASC guidelines, and INEE and UNICEF CFS guidelines)
o The training content shall cover at least the below topics:
Child Friendly spaces (CFS) activities
o Child protection principles and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA)
o Interacting with children, including how to communicate with and organizing group activities for children while ensuring their protection;
o Registering children, including the necessity for seeking parental consent and/or gaining children’s informed consent;
o Designing and planning CFS activities while determining when and how to engage groups of only girls or only boys, groups of highly vulnerable children, or mixed groups integrated by sex, background, and/or vulnerability status;
o Monitoring program activities effectively,
o Monitoring program activities effectively, including monitoring child attendance and behavior during CFS activities and following up with children who missed activities.
• Develop the training of facilitators work plan that includes coaching of the delivery of child friendly psychosocial activities and reporting.
• Develop/Adapt Monitoring and evaluation materials linked to training programs
• Carrying out 7 days training that covers required topics and objectives for 40 volunteers from both Bab Salameh (20) and Atmeh camp (20)
• Support and coach the preparation and implementation of the child friendly activities in both camps.
• Support in the selection of 12 youth from each camp who have been trained to become the facilitators responsible of conducting the child friendly psychosocial activities with children in the camps.
• Conduct technical monitoring visits to assure the quality of activities provided for the children in both Bab-Salameh and Atmeh Camp.
• Prepare Training field report including analysis of training evaluation (pre/post KAP surveys) including recommendations for at least 24 facilitators in terms of additional trainings, support in addition to suggesting a monitoring system for IMC field staff to follow and any useful observations.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Pedagogy or any other related background
- Previous experience in conducting trainings for non-specialized youth group on Psychosocial, child protection, recreational activities
- Previous experience in emergency with refugees
- Fluent in spoken Arabic
- Previous NGO experience is a plus
- Personal interest in educational and mental health issues
- Willing to adhere to outreach schedule
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to train inside the Syrian IDPs camps
