Plan, schedule, and conduct training programs for all functional areas of the Fire/Security Section.
Maintain training reference files, directives, office instructions, lesson plans, training aids, and training records.
Respond to emergencies, evaluate operational procedures, act as safety officer, assist with rescue, fire suppression and overhaul when directed; assume command and control when accountable to accept those duties.
Security Police Duties: When directed perform roving patrol duties, incident/complaint investigations, accident investigations and anti-hijacking inspections. Assist with airfield/aircraft support as directed.
May assume Fire Chiefs Duties during Chief's absences.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
DoD or IFSAC Certification as a Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor III, Fire Inspector II, Airport Fire Fighter and Hazmat Incident Commander are required.
Have or obtain knowledge of applicable Air Force Security/Law Enforcement Standards/Instructions.
Military or Civilian Security/Law Enforcement Training/Experience will be considered in lieu of the above requirement.
Must possess good people skills and the ability to work closely with foreign nationals.
Must possess valid U.S. Driver's License and U.S. passport.
Must obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Remote overseas assignment at Ascension Island with no family accommodations available.
US Citizenship is required.
Must possess physical ability to perform firefighting duties.
Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, multi-cultural, team-oriented environment.
