JOB SUMMARY:

IMC seeks a three-month consultancy starting soon as possible to lead the technical team in developing proposals for CDC/GH/USAID in the areas of HIV/AIDS and TB.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/SCOPE OF WORK

Experience should encompass the design, integration and implementation of HIV/AIDS care and support programs including the HIV/AIDS continuum of service provision in the areas of HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC), Care and Support, and Treatment, including ARV therapy, PMTCT Tuberculosis (TB) co-infection and STIs within USAID and for PEPFAR programs, building and maintaining strong linkages; knowledge of and familiarity with international HIV/AIDS and TB initiatives; working directly with host country governments in designing, developing and implementing programs providing capacity building to both host government officials as well as staff of local organizations working in these sectors.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

•Master’s degree in public health or related field of study with demonstrated understanding on care and treatment integration issues both in the clinic and non-clinic setting
•A minimum of 10 years experience, 6 of which internationally in resource-poor countries
•Proven success in program design and implementation with strong understanding of design methodology and best practices related to the care, support and treatment of the HIV/AIDS population
• Technical experience grounded in strong medical knowledge, previous clinical experience in the international setting and demonstrated public health understanding
•A minimum of 5 years experience working with USG agencies (particularly CDC and USAID with a clear understanding of donor strategies and priorities within the sector
•Excellent writing skills. Fluency in English required
•Experience in multiple countries preferred, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa
•Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work cross-culturally with diverse teams
•Ability to meet deadlines, often at short notice
•Computer literacy in Word and Excel
•Willingness to travel
