We are working with an associate recruitment consultancy whose client is a moving and relocation specialist. They are currently looking to recruit a French speaking International Move Co-ordinator for a branch based in South Africa. The position is permanent.
The successful candidate will be managing a team of 10 and the role will incorporate all aspects of a customer's move
You will be responsible for co-ordinating international moves all round the world, managing the complete move process from initial contact to final delivery.
Specifically you will co-ordinate the packing, customs clearance, export, and delivery overseas of household goods.
You will work with the Operations Department, sales staff, foreign customers by phone, shipping lines, and agents overseas.
You will handle customer complaints, document each step of communication and preparation and solve problems.
This is a high pressure desk job, working in a fast paced environment and is a challenging and rewarding job for those who can operate effectively
You must be French speaking and must have previous experience in the removals industry ideally as a Move Co-Ordinator.
You should also have managerial experience of managing a team.
You need excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with foreign clients, other staff, agents overseas by telephone, email, and fax.
You will be good at working in a very detailed fashion for documentation.
You must be able to manage chaos, operate unemotionally, and do the same thing all over the very next day.
You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English, be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate.
Salary is negotiable dependent upon knowledge and skill set.
