We are working with an associate recruitment consultancy whose client is a growing global relocation/moving company looking to expand their operation into Australia. They are currently seeing a Country Manager to be responsible for their Australian operations. The position is permanent.
They already have a number of branches worldwide and have a substantial reputation in the industry to date.
If you are entrepreneurial and have experience in the moving and relocations industry in Australia then this is a truly outstanding opportunity.
You will be able to start a branch from scratch and have the ability to open doors and target the right clients in a competitive market.
You will be responsible for establishing branches and then ultimately responsible for the branches activities.
You should be able to represent the company's best interests and manage the sales and operational activities. You will be responsible for the outcomes, quality and client liaison of the branches.
Specifically you will supervise your team, supporting them to reach sales and operational targets.
You will set and achieve Sales Targets, Sales Action Plans and monitor regularly to ensure targets are met.
You will hold regular sales meetings with the sales group, motivate and support their activities.
You will generate new profitable business relationships.
You will analyse monthly KPI's, recognise weak points and defects and make a plan to overcome them.
You will carry out evaluation of client feedback.
You will be responsible for staff welfare and all safety and health related issues.
You will ensure the effective recruitment, induction and orientation of all staff.
You will identify training needs and the implementation of them on a regular basis.
You will promote brand awareness and business development.
Finally you will ensure cost optimisation.
You should be an accomplished Removals Regional General / Branch Manager with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and operational standards and of managing a large number of staff.
You must have in depth experience of the removals sector, some of which must have been gained in Australia and ideally you will have multi - site management experience.
You will have experience of logistics and warehouse management, freight forwarding (land, sea and air) supported by a good understanding of Human Resource management and marketing strategies.
You should have budgeting and financial expertise and project management experience.
You will have a strong sales skills/bias and an ability to solve problems by using your own initiative.
You must be client oriented and able to manage and control quality.
You should have strong leadership and inter-personal skills, sound administration skills and excellent time management skills.
Your personal traits should include supporting honesty and high levels of personal integrity.
You will be a strong but fair "manager" personality with ability to monitor and manage staff and expenses.
You will possess a hard work ethic and pay attention to the detail.
You should have the ability to work independently when required and be able to exercise sound judgement in decision making.
You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate.
Salary is negotiable dependent upon knowledge and skill set.
