2746 - Deputy Removals Branch Manager

Job Description:

We are working with an associate recruitment consultancy whose client is a world leading international moving company. They are currently looking to recruit a Deputy Removals Manager to be based in Ghana, Africa. The position is permanent.
The successful candidate will assist and deputise for the Branch Manager in the day to day running of operations, sales, accountancy, administration and overall functioning of the branch.
You will monitor the status of all export and import shipments.
You will co-ordinate/communicate with overseas agents and branches.
You will be responsible for revenue generation and growth within retained accounts as well as developing new accounts.
You will liaise with top accounts and customers and will carry out pre move surveys.
Yiou will report on sales, revenue generated and will ensure effective overall branch administration.
You will carry out general administration and deal with any employee related issues.
You will carry out evaluation of client feedback.
You will be responsible for staff welfare and all safety and health related issues.
You will be responsible for the effective recruitment, induction and orientation of all staff.
You will identify training needs and the implementation of them on a regular basis.
You will oversee warehouse management while co-ordinating with warehouse staff.
You will promote brand awareness and business development.
Finally you will ensure cost optimisation.
Candidates must have experience in the moving or logistics industry and be able to demonstrate a track record to date in a similar environment.
You will have good management and leadership skills and be able to demonstrate an excellent attitude and capacity for work.
Ideally you will have broad experience of logistics and warehouse management supported by a good understanding of Human Resource management.
You will have a strong sales skills/bias and an ability to solve problems by using your own initiative.
You should have strong leadership and inter-personal skills, sound administration skills and excellent time management skills.
Your personal traits should include supporting honesty and high levels of personal integrity.
You will be a strong but fair "manager" personality with ability to monitor and manage staff and expenses.
You will possess a hard work ethic and pay attention to the detail.
You should have the ability to work independently when required and be able to exercise sound judgement in decision making.
You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally one other language, able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate.
Salary is negotiable dependent upon knowledge and skill set.
