Our client is a major food manufacturing company based in Saudi Arabia.
They are currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager. The position is permanent.
Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction for the development of the supply chain management concept incorporating Central Planning, Warehousing, Logistics and Cold Store Management with the potential to expand into purchasing and planning.
In addition you will analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify active and potential supply chain issues, minimize the risk of supply chain disruptions, and investigate emerging opportunities within the supply chain to make improvements.
You will be an accomplished Logistics / Supply Chain Manager with fmcg experience ideally gained in food products with short shelf life in the Middle East, Asia or Africa.
You will have extensive experience in a mixture of disciplines both operational and planning.
Your career experience should be supported by a Masters or a Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
You will have a good set of supply chain management skills particularly in warehousing, logistics, materials management, planning and customer services.
You will be able to operate at a senior management level and drive change.
You must be numerate, like detail and attention to detail, ordered and disciplined, process driven and analytical.
You should possess a mixture of strategic and operational thinking.
You will have used the key planning modules of demand replenishment, forecasting, master production scheduling (MPS), materials requirement planning (MRP) and capacity requirements planning (CRP).
You should be very strong in systems and be system driven covering ERP, Office and specialist modules such as VMS, WMS and forecasting.
You will be very aware of the importance of the bill of material backed up by item control / detail / classification.
You will have experience of managing 3PL or 4PL contracts.
You must be able to make sound rational decisions based on the available information, display initiative, be pro-active, creative and innovative.
You will possess key inter personal skills of leadership, man management, communication and motivation.
You will have high stress tolerance, able to work under pressure and remain calm, be realistic and composed.
You should be self-confident, realistic, have faith in your own abilities, able to act independently and generally be self-sufficient.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally Arabic, able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner, work to tight deadlines and pay attention to the detail.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Logistics / Supply Chain Manager looking for something different. The basic salary is paid in Sars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.
In addition there is an annual bonus payable of up to 3 months basic salary based on performance which is also paid in Sars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.
A housing allowance is payable and there is a fully maintained car or car allowance available. Other benefits include medical insurance, 30 days paid annual leave and a contribution of up to 50% on school tuition fees.
You will receive one paid return air fare to your home base each year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
