Utilities Electrician Associate - Ascension Island - Job Number 1300K4Z

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years electrical experience at the journeyman level.
Experience with standard electrical test equipment such as multi-meters, meggers, and amp probes, etc.
Experience as a Power Tech or Generator tech.
Experience with parallel AC Generators, governor systems, load share systems, and voltage regulation systems.
Required to perform predictive and preventative maintenance on existing electrical equipment utilizing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
Knowledge of OSHA Lock out / Tag out procedures.
Experience with the NEC and NEC70E.
Must be willing to work on wind turbines at heights up to 150 feet.
Intermediate computer skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires a U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Naturalization.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Valid U.S. Drivers license and U.S. Passport required.
Remote overseas location on Ascension Island with no family accommodations.
Additional Desired Qualifications or willingness to learn.
PLC Ladder Logic.
Programming CPU Based controls.
PLC testing and maintenance.
Protective relay service and calibrations.
Circuit Breaker testing and repair.
Strong electronics background with controls.
Medium voltage experience and cable splicing.
Transformer testing.
Experience in networking CPU based controls.
Experience in data communications.
Received an electrical Safety Arc Flash training.
Experience using AVO test equipment for testing and calibrating equipment.
Physical Qualification:
General good health.
Full range of motion in extremities.
Able to work in cramped areas.
Able to distinguish between colors.
Able to work at heights up to 150 feet.
Vaccinated for Typhoid, Hepatitis A and B, PPD and Tetanus (Will Provide)
This job will include necessary maintenance electrical work at an accompanying Potable Water and Waste Water Plant.
