Job Description: Operates, maintains, sets-up and repairs precision telemetry instrumentation systems. Performs launch and other mission support as scheduled using standard operating procedures. Participates in mission planning, as required.

Essential Functions:
•Responsible for operating, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing equipment associated with a Telemetry Ground Station to include measurement/tracking, multiplexing, amplification, signal conditioning, multicouplers, acquisition, RF transmitters/receivers, PCM encoders/decoders, and parabolic antenna systems
•Provide technical support in matters related to computer hardware, software, networking, and maintenance for site telemetry systems and related equipment and operations
•Integrates hardware and software applications for operational and maintenance applications
•Performs routine launch operational checks and functions based on standard operating procedures required
•Generates/prepares test documentation, maintains records, maintenance logs and schedules
•Interpret audits/findings, identifies maintenance issues and works with management to determine best course of action
•Supports company safety culture and assumes accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all activities

Required Skills
•Good understanding of telemetry principles and practices; electronic background and knowledge of network/server operating systems and PC platforms
•Experience is using electrical/electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office
•A.S. degree in electronics or technical school or equivalent military training
•Ability to effectively troubleshoot, isolate and repair electronic hardware and associated support equipment
•Establish, foster, and maintain effective relationships with customers, co-workers, and foreign nationals to gain their trust and respect
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Experience
•Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Associate’s degree in electronics technology or two years of technical training in a related field
•Four or more years of Radar operations and maintenance experience
•CompTIA Security + certification or equivalent or DoD 8570 IA certification desired. If not certified at the time of hire, certification must be granted within 6 months.
•Experience working with high-powered transmitters, radio-frequency/infrared (RF/IF) receivers, microwave subsystems and control systems
•Experience working with property control, logistics and quality standards
•Experience working with large scale antenna servo tracking mount technology
•The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements.
•Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Security clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
•Valid U.S. driver’s license
•U.S. passport required

Work Environment:
•Frequently move, transport, install and position equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
•Frequently ascend/descend, and traverses, work areas at heights of approximately 20 feet or more
•Establish and maintain effective working relations with employees and the public
•Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a multi-cultural, team-oriented environment
•This position is remote overseas assignment on the Eastern Range in Radar on Ascension Island, South Atlantic Ocean, in support of daily, special test and launch operations with no family accommodations
