OpenApply Sales Associate, Asia-Pacific

Job Description:

We are looking for an energetic, persistent go-getter with significant prior sales experience, living in or willing to relocate to Shanghai. Your primary task will be bringing in new business for OpenApply, an online admissions & enrolment system, while traveling to schools all around Asia-Pacific.

Faria Education Group (FEG) was founded in 2006 to transition schools off paper onto a Curriculum First learning platform with our flagship system, ManageBac. OpenApply has grown quickly, now serving over 250 schools in over 60 countries around the world. We are looking for a candidate who will help drive growth in the Asia-Pacific region from our recently opened office in Shanghai, China. You will report to the OpenApply Director and join a small, globally distributed team of young professionals, with the opportunity to make an immediate contribution. Your success in the role will be dependent on a strong, independent work ethic, passion for sales, and your willingness to learn new things.

Key Responsibilities

- Qualifying sales leads and new sign ups.
- Conducting school visits & demonstrations with interested schools in your region, and moving them to Trial
- Attending regional conferences and providing presentations.

What will you accomplish in the first 30 days?

- You will learn the OpenApply system and how it is structured to serve the needs of international school admissions offices.
- You will provide your first online demo to a school.
- You'll learn our outbound sales process and begin interacting with leads passed on from our Lead Generator.

(This position requires approximately 50% travel)

Knowing the players in the space, understanding the trend lines and the needs

3. Organisation
Keeping your data hyper-organized so there’s minimal slippage in the process and you have an accurate picture of your own progress

4. Strategic Followup
The strategies deployed to close deals and execute followup.

5. Personability
Ability to exude friendliness, empathy, warmth.

What are we looking for?

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to learn & execute quickly
- Attention-to-detail and satisfaction from a job well-done
- Native English speaker
- Some Mandarin ability preferred but not required
