Job Description

Our client is a Canadian based manufacturer of electric propulsion and electric powertrain equipment with facilities in the US and Mexico. The company offers a range of electric motors and generators for clients in the railway, locomotive, wind energy, military, mining, oil and gas industries. They are a well established company and trusted partner with long standing clients in the Fortune 500 market around the world, and poised for significant growth over the next decade We are looking for a Director of Finance to join their exceptional team. Responsibilities This role will have a seat at the leadership table, and be considered to be the financial business partner to the CEO, COO and CFO. The expectation is that this role actively drives results and not simply report on results. You will be accountable for all standard Finance functions: financial reporting, cost accounting, treasury, financing. You will help drive both growth and exceptional profitability. Getting control of project financial performance & material costs, negotiating price increases with customers and maximizing overall profitability are essential Results must be achieved with full compliance with their mission to be The World’s Most Trusted Company. Oversee and get the best out of a team of 7 reporting into you. About You Exceptional performance and track record of helping a company with above average growth (over 10% per year EBT). 10 years experience in the finance field (CMA designation). Leadership experience of 5 or more team members, ideally located in different locations MUST - Experience working with a manufacturing company > multi country/multi site experience. OBSESSED with profitability and financial performance. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. Epicor Kinetic). An analytical mind with a strategic ability. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus. What's in it for you?
