DP World today operates a Container Terminal, and several logistics and freight businesses within Belgium is seeking candidate to join its Container Terminal located within the Port of Antwerp. The Container Terminal fulfilling an important function within the Ports of Antwerp as a link between shipping companies and cargo owners throughout transport by road, water and rail. This means there are lots of coming and going trucks, rail traffic, barges and giant vessels at our Antwerp Gateway Container Terminal in the port of Antwerp. DP World uses state-of-the-art technologies, advanced cranes and an extensive straddle carrier park. Job description You will implement the strategic objectives and translate them into concrete technical and operational projects for the employees reporting directly to you You will ensure continuous monitoring of the results of improvement initiatives as a function of profitability and optimisation of available capacity. You will analyse the results and adjust where necessary through coaching and mentoring You will be required to carry on business continuous improvement opportunities within your role across all functions and departments with focus on efficiency and business resilience You will build stable relationships with key stakeholders: your employees, external customers, the port community and other DP World entities You will monitor market-related technological developments and regularly evaluate innovation and modernisation of treatment techniques as a function of the safety of operations and improvement of profitability You will be responsible for employee safety and actively contribute to the overall safety policy. You will also participate in environmentally conscious management and strive to reduce the environmental impact of our activities You will communicate, implement and monitor Human Resources process within your department You will be part of the Senior Leaders Executive Committee of the Business / Terminal You will be managing and supervise Managers within your role who will directly reports to you You will directly report to the Chief Executive Officer Profile You have a master's degree in an economics, engineering, logistics or nautical field. You have 10 to 15 years’ relevant experience in a position of operational responsibility Experience within a high-tech, logistics or maritime working environment is an advantage You are familiar with project management.
