Android Developer - Java/Kotlin

Role : Android Developer Job Description : - We are looking for 4 to 6 Yrs experienced Senior Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. - The candidate will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications and will work closely with other app development and technical teams. Responsibilities : - Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Android Mobile & TV applications from scratch. - Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, Tech Leads and other developers to define, design, and ship new features. - Optimize application performance for the Android Mobile & TV platform, ensuring smooth user experience across various devices and screen sizes. - Integrate third-party libraries and APIs to enhance application functionality and user engagement. - Conduct thorough Peer to Peer Code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions within the team. - Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions to ensure the stability and reliability of the application. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver projects within specified timelines. - Implement analytics and monitoring tools to track user behavior, performance metrics, and application usage, and utilize insights to drive continuous improvements. - Actively participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, architecture design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Technical Skills : - Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages, with a strong understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns. - Extensive experience in developing Android applications for various form factors, particularly for Mobile & Android TV. - In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, and other relevant frameworks for building robust and feature-rich applications. - Familiarity with OTT (Over-the-Top) industry standards, protocols, and technologies, such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, DRM, and adaptive streaming is advantage - Hands-on experience with media playback, video streaming, and DRM integration on the Android TV platform. - Proficient in using version control systems like Git, Code build and familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines. - Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for large screens. - Experience with performance optimization techniques, memory management, and battery efficiency for Android TV applications. - Knowledge of backend technologies and RESTful APIs for seamless integration with server-side components. - Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and UI automation testing for Android applications.
