Cloud Database Administrator - MySQL/PostgreSQL

Job Description : We need a Cloud Database Administrator with the below skills : - Has effective communication skills to convey ideas and share progress with the team. - Must collaborate with the team and contribute to discussions. - Ability to Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to ensure system optimized for cost, data integrity and system availability. - Ability to deploy and configure cloud database instances based on application requirements. - Ability to implement automation for routine database administration tasks. - Ability to use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage database configurations. - Keep systems up to date with the latest patches and updates for database systems. - Ability to respond to incidents related to database performance, availability, and security. - Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. - Ability to implement monitoring solutions to track database performance, query execution, resource utilization, and optimize database-related costs in cloud environment. - Should ensure security measures and compliance with accordance with industry regulations and company security policies in cloud environments. - Must be able to establish and manage backup and recovery strategies for cloud-based databases. - Must be able to plan and execute failover and recovery procedures as needed. - Must be able to conduct regular tests of backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity. - Must maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures. - Must stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in cloud database administration. - Database to be working on MySQL & PostgreSQL - Minimum 3 years of experience - Install and test new versions of the database management system (DBMS). - Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly, - Design and manage high availability systems. - Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database. Tech skills (Mandatory) DBA skills for : - RDS - MySQL - PostgreSQL - Oracle - Database Migration Service (or equivalent) Tech skills (nice to have) : - Redshift - DynamoDB - DocumentDB - MongoDB (ref:hirist.tech)
