The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our MS SQL Server database infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and data integrity. You will play a key role in managing our database systems, implementing best practices for database administration, and supporting our development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities : - Design and implement MS SQL Server database tables, structures, views, functions, and stored procedures to support our software applications. - Develop and maintain database triggers, indexes, and cursors to optimize query performance and ensure efficient data retrieval. - Implement data mining and data mirroring techniques to enhance data availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities. - Perform database optimization and integration tasks to improve system efficiency, scalability, and reliability. - Maintain data quality and database security by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms. - Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide database design recommendations and optimizations. - Monitor database performance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted service. - Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in database administration, and recommend enhancements to our database infrastructure. - Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and contribute to their professional development. Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 8 years of relevant experience as an MS SQL Server Database Administrator or SQL Developer. - Proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing MS SQL Server databases, including tables, views, functions, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and cursors. - Strong understanding of database administration concepts, including data mining, data mirroring, database optimization, and integration. - Experience with database security principles and best practices, including access controls, encryption, and auditing. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot database issues effectively. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
