Specialist I - Data Protection & Data Loss Prevention

Key Responsibilities: Functional and Technical Review, document, triage, conduct investigations and escalate DLP alerts where necessary. Review, action and escalate notifications related to violations against BMS DLP policies. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA. Develop metrics related to the data protection programs status, performance, and maturity. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data security and DLP technologies and make recommendations for improvements to existing systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in data security and DLP, with a capable background in cyber security, risk management, and compliance. Familiarity of industry regulations and standards such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate risks and suggest controls to mitigate those risks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience investigating and participating in incident response efforts related to DLP. An understanding of data security and DLP technologies, including encryption, data loss prevention, and access controls. Experience with security incident and event management (SIEM) systems and principles.
