Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us Position Summary: We are looking for a Citrix Engineer to join our IT team and will be responsible for architecting, designing, implementing and maintaining our Citrix environment. This will enable users of endpoint devices to access and operating system and apps, delivered by cloud service providers. You will play a key role in unleashing the power of technology to enable BMS teams in a fast growing and highly innovative environment Key Responsibilities: Citrix Solution Design and Implementation: Design and implement Citrix solutions that meet the business needs and comply with the pharma standards and regulations. Publish and maintain applications in the Citrix environment and manage the access and permissions of the users and groups. Collaborate with the networking team to configure and maintain the network components that support the Citrix environment, such as firewalls, load balancers, gateways, proxies and VPNs. Troubleshoot any network issues that affect the Citrix environment. Install and configure Citrix Storefront, which provides a web-based interface for users to access the Citrix applications and desktops. Customize the Storefront appearance and functionality to meet the user requirements and preferences. Document the Citrix design, implementation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting processes and procedures. Research and evaluate new technologies and trends that can enhance the Citrix environment and improve the user experience. Learn and apply best practices and standards for Citrix solutions. Manage the Build and configure Citrix servers in both physical and virtual environments, using tools such as Citrix XenServer, VMWare, Hyper-V and Azure. Optimize the Citrix server performance and capacity. Lead team that provides support and maintenance for the Citrix environment across multiple locations and regions. Work with other IT departments, such as application development, database administration, security and compliance, to troubleshoot application issues that affect the Citrix environment. Assist with the application testing and deployment in the Citrix environment. Use a proven methodology to resolve performance issues in the Citrix environment, such as slow logins, session disconnects, application freezes and crashes. Use tools such as Citrix AppDNA, Citrix Insight Services and Citrix Scout to analyze and diagnose the performance issues. Resolve issues with the ICA client and the VDA, which are the components that enable the communication between the Citrix server and the user device. Update and troubleshoot the ICA client and the VDA as needed. Perform software and hardware upgrades for the Citrix environment, such as upgrading the Citrix software versions, installing new features and patches, replacing or adding new hardware components and devices. Plan and execute the upgrade projects and ensure the minimal downtime and disruption. Maintain the OS and 3rd party apps patch levels for the Citrix environment, ensuring that the Citrix servers and devices are secure and compliant with the pharma standards and regulations. Manage server support and implementation for the Citrix environment, such as installing and configuring the server OS, managing the server roles and features, troubleshooting the server issues and performing the server backup and recovery. Qualifications & Experience: Highly Proficient in some or all the following infrastructure areas: Citrix technologies Citrix Virtual Apps (XenApp), Citrix Virtual Desktops (XenDesktop), Director, Citrix Cloud, PVS, and NetScaler. Profile management Citrix WEM, FSLogix, GPO. Experience programming in a scripting language such as PowerShell, VBScript, etc. Microsoft technologies - including Active Directory, Windows (desktop and server), DHCP, DNS, etc. Knowledge of infrastructure automation platforms. 7 years of experience in Citrix administration, Experience managing Citrix environments of over 500 concurrent users. Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) preferred. Understanding of the leading cloud infrastructure platforms such as Azure and Amazon Web Services. Experience in architecting a recommended technical infrastructure solution. Good communication, teamwork, and general consulting skills. Good problem-solving skills.
