Job Description - Plant Manager, Mexico Automotive Mechanical Position Title Plant Manager, Mexico Location: Mexico Company Overview We're a leading Chinese automotive conglomerate with a dominant presence in vehicle manufacturing, R&D, and component production. With multiple state - of - the - art domestic manufacturing bases and R&D centers, we're at the forefront of the industry. To expand our global footprint, we've established a production facility in Mexico, specializing in precision machining and stamping of automotive parts. We're now looking for exceptional talent to drive the success of our Mexican plant. Responsibilities 1. Overall Plant Operations ◦ Oversee all aspects of the Mexican plant's operations, including production planning, process optimization, cost control, and quality management. Ensure the plant runs efficiently and meets all production and business targets set by the headquarters. 2. Team Leadership ◦ Lead and manage a diverse team of local Mexican and Chinese employees. Handle recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a high - performing team. Foster a positive corporate culture within the plant. 3. Technical Expertise ◦ Leverage your experience in machining and stamping to supervise production processes, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive process improvements. Continuously enhance product quality and production efficiency. 4. Quality & Safety ◦ Enforce Chinese automotive industry standards and international quality management systems. Establish and maintain a robust quality control system. Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations to prevent major accidents. 5. Supply Chain & Customer Relations ◦ Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable raw material supply. Liaise with the Chinese headquarters and automotive industry customers, providing timely production updates and meeting delivery requirements. 6. Cross - cultural Communication ◦ As a Chinese manager, act as a bridge between the Mexican plant and the Chinese headquarters. Facilitate the flow of information and coordinate resources to ensure operations align with the group's strategic goals. Requirements 1. Education ◦ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Manufacturing, or related fields. 2. Work Experience ◦ Minimum 5 years of production management experience in the machining industry, with at least 3 years in stamping production management. Experience in automotive parts manufacturing is a must. 3. Language Skills ◦ Fluent in English (both written and verbal) for effective communication with international teams and clients. 4. Industry Knowledge ◦ In - depth understanding of Chinese automotive industry standards. 5. Personal Attributes ◦ Willingness to work overseas long - term. Strong cross - cultural communication and adaptability skills. Proven leadership and problem - solving abilities.
