The opening is for an important logistics company in the freight forwarding sector. Functional Context: Our company has recently embarked on a transformational journey. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative who would like to take the Mexico Branch to the next level and build a solid, dynamic, and profitable business and relationship with our carriers. Position Summary The Customer Service Representative is the main point of contact for a customer related to their shipping operations. You will be accountable for providing feedback on the operation and adequate logging of information in our TMS. Top tasks & responsibilities: 1) Receive and process POs/LTs from internal and external customers. 2) Book pickup and delivery appointments for shipments without preset appts. 3) Daily follow up of shipments, validate load status from pickup to final delivery. 4) Secure GPS tracking for all loads at every moment. 5) Obtain and file all required documentation for our shipments, including but not limited to BOL, PO, Seal Number, Border Crossing Documents, POD, trailer pictures, etc. 6) Obtain delivery and unloading notification for every shipment. 7) Elaborate tracking and service reports for our customers. 8) Communicate shipment status in a timely manner to all customers. 9) Prevent any potential service failure by creating action plans with carriers. 10) Update live our TMS at every stage of the shipment. 11) Measure and evaluate carrier performance. 12) Support A.R. discrepancies for shipments handled. Required Skills, Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, international trade or related is wanted but not a must Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills Strong analytical and communication skills. Advanced English and Spanish is required. 6 months experience in the supply chain industry is required. International or multicultural experience is an advantage. Sense of urgency Teamwork Problem Solving Outgoing Proven experience in negotiations with carriers Proven experience in different markets (Domestic US, Domestic MX, Cross Border, Canada, etc)
