MRO PURCHASING MANAGER

The Mexico MRO Purchasing Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) procurement across four manufacturing sites and one distribution center, all supporting the automotive market. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of MRO materials and services, maintaining operational continuity and optimizing inventory levels. The MRO Purchasing Manager will develop and implement procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Skills Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, QAD,SAP, Oracle). Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and hard trim parts Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strategic sourcing Contract negotiation Supplier relationship management Inventory management Data analysis and reporting ERP systems E-procurement platforms Problem-solving Communication Automotive industry knowledge. Education Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in MRO procurement, preferably within the automotive industry.
