US Payroll Specialist

Job Description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for US. This includes processing payroll and coordinating with all departments on various changes. As part of this role, the Specialist will be the primary point of contact for US Pay Role Manager regarding employee pay. The Specialist should be comfortable managing all compensation audits and assisting with the company’s year-end financial audit. Role and Responsibilities Manage company-wide employee salary changes & adjustments with periodic accuracy and completeness audit. Manage the weekly and biweekly payroll process including processing of commissions, bonuses, reimbursements, and other employee incentives. Saves reports, organizes, and prepares finished payrolls for review by management. Reviews and processes external contractor payments. MS Office and computer skills. Act as a primary backup related to all aspects of employee management as needed. Completing applications for new states for withholding, unemployment company and local withholding. Working with outside auditor requests to reconcile general ledger to 941’s, W-2’s and W-3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies for payroll liabilities, garnishments. Solve problems related to back pay, garnishments, insurance and 401k withholding, direct deposits, and incorrect tax jurisdictions. Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on a variety of tasks and projects. Experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion. High degree of professionalism and solid ability in delivering high quality customer service and establishing / maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships. Key Skills, Abilities, and competencies: Strong written and verbal English language Experience with processing US-based payroll processes (multi-state preference) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excel Skills required (lookups, of statements, pivot table proficiency is a base level of expectation) . Highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented. Solid understanding and working knowledge of payroll processes and systems, particularly in a union environment. Location: Querétaro, Querétaro Salary range from $42,000 to $47,000 superior legal benefits.
