Job Description

POSITION: International Logistics Specialist LOCATION: Mexico City REPORTS TO: Operations Manager About the role: The International Logistics Specialist will manage the international logistics of maritime containers from the origin plant to their final destination in the U.S. and Mexico ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization. What you’ll do: Coordinate and oversee international maritime container transportation. Manage relationships with logistics providers, customs brokers, and shipping lines. Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations in the U.S. and Mexico. Optimize transportation routes and costs, aiming for efficient delivery times. Monitor and resolve issues in the logistics process. Handle import/export documentation, including bill of lading (B/L), certificates of origin, and commercial invoices. Coordinate with warehouses and distributors for final delivery of goods. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to improve operational efficiency. Keep procedures updated and ensure compliance with the company’s internal policies. Supervise payments to different logistics providers and ensure follow-up on respective payments. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in international logistics, imports, and maritime transportation. Languages: Advanced English (spoken and written). Knowledge in: International trade regulations (Incoterms, U.S. customs regulations). Port operations and intermodal transportation. Management of logistics providers and customs brokers. Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Negotiation with suppliers and cost optimization. Analytical ability to improve logistics processes. Teamwork and effective communication.
