Job Description

Job Summary Maintain the inventory system updated and contribute to the department's achievements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Must maintain inventory levels of consumable items and components within control limits in the minimum and maximum control plan. • Verify that sufficient material is on hand and when and where it is needed to meet the manufacturing plans related to your CFT. • Use the Planner Workbench in Oracle to plan and to launch purchase demands. • Responsible for ensuring that promised delivery dates are met. • Responsible for keeping pending orders within the goal. • Monitor the status of orders in process (WIP), using Oracle to generate reports. • Follow up with suppliers (internal and external) on all requisitions and purchase orders placed to meet delivery dates, as well as raise any adverse supply situation that affects the production plan of your CFT to management level. • Navigates through the planning, BOM, and WIP modules in Oracle to obtain necessary plan information and to expedite work orders. • Develops production work schedule, prioritizes work orders, and arranges for time or machine cycle with department supervisors. • Maintains and meets inventory control goals for components assigned to the area in line with company goals and schedules established by CFT. • Participates in weekly CFT meetings, discussing new projects, the shop floor schedule, and current situations regarding equipment, materials, and related areas. • Works with other employees at all levels and within their CFT to resolve daily problems. • Works with purchasing to procure materials, components, and supplies. Knowledge and Skills • Able to identify, evaluate, and correct complex problems using root cause analysis. • Understands and applies policies, procedures, and reports information. • Communicate clearly and effectively verbally or in writing at all levels of the organization. • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. • Participate and develop in a team environment. • Work independently. • Results-oriented. Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience • University degree in Bachelor's or Engineering required. • Bilingual Spanish-English • 1 to 2 years of experience in planning within similar industries. • Computer skills and Microsoft Office programs. • Bilingual Spanish-English. • Oracle system skills (desired experience).
