ENGINEER IN VIVO PRODUCT CHARACTERISATION (M/F) - PERMANENT CONTRACT

You will be immersed in the development of new biosolutions. You will design and conduct in planta trials, whether in our facilities or through collaborations. Every experiment you conduct, every analysis you perform, will contribute to a better understanding of how our future products will interact with crops and their environment, under real farmer practice. At our Innovation Center in Lesquin, you will develop crop models and phytopathosystems to test their effectiveness, and representativeness for real-life conditions, to de-risk and accelerate the transition from lab to field. You will work closely with the formulation team to optimze our solutions, checking their performance and crop safety. You will also serve as the bridge between research and the field, working closely with the agronomic development manager to ensure best conditions for the first field trial evaluations. Beyond experimentation, you will be a true driver of innovation. You will maintain a scientific and technical watch to stay at the forefront of sector advancements. You create intellectual property options, protect the invention and maintain freedom to operate. You will share your results with our internal teams, partners, and the scientific community, thus contributing to the global recognition of our expertise. When projects are in the in planta development phase, you may take a Project Leader role, ensuring that milestones and objectives are met. You are a driven scientist, passionate about plant physiology and biosolutions (biostimulants and biocontrols). You hold a Master’s or PhD in phytopathology entomology, or equivalent degree, with a good knowledge of biosolutions, and at least 3 years of experience in these fields. You have a high level of scientific rigour, are comfortable with statistics and statistical tools (ideally R), and enjoy analysing complex data and extracting insights from it. You are fluent in English, enabling you to communicate with experts worldwide and share your findings with the international scientific community.
