Design Manager Location: Yorkshire or North East (Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote) Job Type: Full-time Join the Team! We are seeking a Design Manager to lead and develop a multi-skilled team, ensuring the successful delivery of detailed designs across all workstream areas. What You’ll Do: ✅ Manage and mentor a growing team of design engineers and technicians ✅ Enhance and implement robust design procedures to reduce risk and liability ✅ Strengthen design capabilities through training, competence, and resource management ✅ Develop and maintain design standards, specifications, and guidance documents ✅ Oversee external design frameworks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations ✅ Support operational teams with expert design solutions What We’re Looking For: Qualifications: Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) Experience: Strong knowledge of 11kV to 132kV (E)HV networks & substations , including switchgear, transformers, underground circuits, earthing, and protection Industry Knowledge: Understanding of electricity distribution and private network interactions Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities Why Join?
