Cost Accountant (Contract)

As the Cost Accountant , you will be based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga , reporting directly to the Financial Manager. This is a maternity cover role ideal for a hands-on individual with a solid costing background. Your responsibilities will include applying Activity-Based Costing (ABC) principles, maintaining accurate cost records, preparing financial reports, and performing variance analysis. You will also be expected to leverage your SAGE X3 ERP knowledge to optimize reporting and contribute to informed financial planning. Job Experience and Skills Required: - A relevant Accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree). - Solid costing experience , with strong knowledge of Activity-Based Costing (ABC) . - Experience in the mining industry is essential. - Proficiency in SAGE X3 ERP is non-negotiable. - At least 3 years experience in a cost accounting role.
