Director of Procurement Chemicals

I am recruiting on behalf of a leading personal care products company that is searching for a Procurement Director to shape the future of ingredient sourcing and drive sustainability innovation. This is an opportunity to join an industry leader that is setting new standards in responsible procurement within FMCG. My client is looking for a strong leader with a technical mindset , someone who can rethink how essential raw materials-chemicals, ingredients, and packaging-are sourced, stored, and transported. This role is pivotal in helping them answer key sustainability questions: What will the next generation of ingredients look like? How can procurement drive circularity and responsible sourcing? How can supply chains be optimized for both sustainability and cost efficiency? What You'll Bring Fluent English is required ; additional languages are a plus. Proven leadership experience in procurement, ideally within the personal care, consumer goods, cosmetics, or FMCG industry . A technical approach to sourcing and supply chain strategy, with experience in NPD (New Product Development), NPI (New Product Introduction), or a background in engineering, science, or R&D . Deep expertise in supplier management, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation . Strong experience in cost optimization, category management, and strategic sourcing . The ability to collaborate across R&D, sustainability, and supply chain teams . A passion for innovation in responsible sourcing and industry-leading sustainability initiatives. Experience in logistics and supply chain operations , ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of raw materials. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and sustainability frameworks in procurement. Location & Work Arrangement This role is based in Paris , with a requirement to be in the office three days per week . Why Join?
