MEP Project Engineer

As an M&E Consultant & Engineer, you will contribute expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project execution. Key Tools: HVAC System Tools Indoor Air Quality Assessment Tools Cost Estimation & Quantity Take-Off Software RFIs and Technical Submittals Tools Bluebeam Revu Key Responsibilities: Analyse tender drawings and specifications to define project scope. Prepare and send inquiries to subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers for cost estimation. Perform detailed take-offs, quantify scope of work, and manage cost data. Maintain and update a comprehensive schedule of rates. Ensure accuracy in cost calculations and supplier pricing for optimized procurement. Present tender proposals to management with detailed project scope and cost considerations. Liaise with contractors and consultants for tender clarifications and missing details. Propose value-engineering solutions to improve project cost-effectiveness. Prepare RFIs and technical submittals for contractor/consultant approval. Assist in valuations of completed works for subcontractors. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Provide prompt responses to inquiries via email or phone. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in M&E consulting or engineering roles. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including industry standards. Expertise in tender analysis, cost estimation, and supplier management. Having knowledge of Blue Beam software is an added advantage. Experience of UK Site work is an added advantage. Proficiency in cost estimation tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on value engineering. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
